If Beale Street Could Talk (2018)

Tish, 19, engaged to 22-year-old sculptor Fonni. They are preparing for the wedding, Tish is expecting a child when Fonni is accused of raping Victoria Puerto-Rican. The young man is sent to serve the punishment for a crime that he has not committed - a racist police officer set him up. Meanwhile, Victoria leaves the United States, returns home, and Tish’s mother, Sharon, follows the woman in order to find evidence of Fonnie’s innocence.
