Dovlatov (2018)
A film about several days in the life of the writer Sergei Dovlatov in Leningrad in the early 70s on the eve of the emigration of his friend, the future Nobel Prize winner Joseph Brodsky. This is a cycle of paradoxical and funny situations. Collision with crime, secular and literary life of Leningrad, Lenfilm film studio, music, poetry reading, journalist's craft, a passionate desire to buy a doll for her daughter that cannot be found anywhere else.
In a series of life collisions, sometimes funny and sometimes shrill, the viewer discovers the life of a subtle, brilliant, ironic person who chooses his creative path to later become one of the most popular Russian prose writers of the 20th century.
