An elderly man arrives at Harpers Ferry, where his daughter hiked on the Appalachian route six weeks ago with friends and has since disappeared. Despite warnings from the locals, the boys stopped the tourist route and soon met a community of people who founded a settlement here just before the Civil War. And who don't really like strangers.
