Mankind has settled on distant planets, and various powerful families are constantly fighting for power over inhabited space. At the center of the confrontation is the planet of the Arrakis desert. Huge sandworms live there, and Fremen wanderers hide in caves, but its main value is spice, the most important substance in the Universe.
