Lucky Prescott is a rebellious young woman, like her mother, a legendary fearless horseman, whom her daughter can hardly remember. After another prank, the caring aunt Cora, who raised the girl, sends her to live with her father. Now, all Lucky dreams of is getting rid of a sleeping little town.
