The Mercy (2018)

The movie was based on events that actually happened. This was promoted by a contest that was announced by one of the most popular newspaper publishing companies. The person who will be able to first cross the world tour will receive a fairly decent amount. The only precondition for participation is that the participant has to go through a difficult path on his own. Learning about this contest, many representatives of humanity wanted to participate. Among them there are both professional and amateur yachtsmen. But a single bold and determined participant will succeed in becoming a winner.

The main character of the film, whose name is Donald Crowhurst, has also decided to become a participant in the trip around the world. He thinks he had a great chance to solve all his problems. Recently, it had a difficult material condition, a lot of debt, and if it does not understand all of this in the shortest possible time, there could be bad consequences. In addition to all this, there is the possibility of his family crash, which consists of a beautiful wife and three children.

With little effort, the hero manages to become a contestant. He does not even guess what trials he's made. It's not so easy to find a victory as Donald hoped. He had problems with the instruments of the ship he was traveling on. How will this story end, and Crowhurst will become the winner?
