Victorian tale of love, discovery and scientific experimentation. Tired of her tyrannical husband, a young woman named Bella Baxter (Emma Stone) drowns in the river. A scientist comes across her lifeless body, who decides to save the unfortunate woman and transplants the brain of a newborn into her.
