Lessons in Chemistry (2023)
The multi-episode show takes place in America in the early 1960s around a young woman named Elizabeth Zott. The heroine dreams of building a scientific career in the field of chemistry, but society is still dominated by the stereotype that a woman should stay at home, give birth to children and take care of her husband. Elizabeth's plans become even more ephemeral after she finds out she is pregnant. Soon the girl is left alone - the child’s father disappears in an unknown direction, and she is “politely” asked to leave work in the laboratory.
Over time, the single mother demonstrates incredible resourcefulness. She gets a job as a presenter on a cooking television show and is going to teach housewives, and even men who accidentally stumbled upon the program, something more than just cooking delicious dishes. Moreover, Elizabeth still has not forgotten about the scientific experiments that she once carried out.
