Brazil is known for its good international relations and distance from wars. Even so, it is one of the most violent countries in the world, occupying a high position in the ranking of the nations with the greatest number of homicides by firearm. Disregarding the patriotic goals, if Clint Eastwood filmed American Sniper, it makes sense that our land has its "Brazilian Gunslinger" - that could be the popular title of The Name of the Death. Filmmaker Henrique Goldman (Jean Charles) drinks at the source of the classic Hollywood films of gangsters and rent killers to tell the story of Júlio Santana, a killer with almost 500 deaths in the curriculum. Technically impeccable Thriller that follows exactly the primer of the good-hearted antihero who takes the wrong path by circumstances, the film could be from any part of the world, any era, were it not for the deep Brazilianness printed by the director and screenwriter George Moura ( Pass Line, Swirl).
