Life in a Year (2019)

Incredible story of a young guy, based on real events. Jared is a sociable and diligent teenager from a small rural town, the son of a Baptist pastor and the pride of the whole family. Enrolling in college, the guy notices a strange and confused interest in the male sex. Realizing the physical attraction to the guys, Jared decided to confess to his parents. However, the conservative family of a teenager refuses to accept him as he is. Friends and the church will misunderstand if the son of a Baptist pastor turns out to be homosexual. In order to “cure” the boy, his parents immediately send him to a Christian wellness center to participate in a program of conservative therapy. While the therapist tries with all his efforts to erase and distort the boy’s personality, Jared listens to the voice of his heart and accepts the true “I”.
